ORLANDO.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- At just 1 year old-fashioned Theo had already turned to a life of crime.

The tiny Yorkie would sneak into restaurants inside his owner's bag, usually undetect however he and Marcy Richardson were occasionally kicked public

Now the 26-year-old Richardson and Theo can stop worrying and start chowing down.

Gov Jeb Bush forward Friday signed the "doggie dining" bill, which allows local sways to let restaurants permit dogs to eat with their proprietors outside.

Florida health regulations had obviateed all dogs except service animals from joining patrons al fresco although a certain quantity of restaurants ignored the rules until regulators started crackdowns last year.

The measure creates a three-year pilot program. Allowing dogs to dine will be up to each shire and restaurant owners will decide individually whether to take part.

Not everyone supported the bill. Orlando resident George Jone said he notion legally allowing dogs to dine in public was "the chiefly ignorant thing I've ever seen"

"I just don't think tribe should eat with dogs; that's disgusting," said Jone 51 who has a border collie and a black Labrador.
