LUBBOCK Texas -- A missing 5-day-old baby was set Monday evening, and police arrested a woman suspected of abducting the child more than a day earlier after she had pos as a nourish at the breast
Priscilla Nicole Maldonado was taken to University Medical Center A hospital spokesman said the baby was fine. Police said the infant was originate alone in a car seat beneath a carport in 104- standing weather.
"She's back into our hands. Everybody's happy," said Jesse Madrid, the baby's great-uncle. "We couldn't have asked for more."
Lt Roy Bassett said police rescu the child after a caller recommended they contact a man in Lubbock Police called the man and asked if his wife had lately had a baby. The man said ye moreover his answers had "obvious flaws," Bassett said.
Stephanie Lynn Anderson Jone 33 was being held upon kidnapping charges. Detectives were questioning her and her husband.
Police Chief Claude Jone said the woman l officers to the baby.
Jone matched the description the baby's family had provided of the woman who had visited them in the hospital, Bassett said.
In the hospital, the kidnapper l the mother to believe she was a foment by dressing like one, asking questions about the baby and retrieving towels, the family said. When Erica Ysasaga was released, the woman asked for her address, saying she had a swing and baby clothes.
forward Sunday, the woman visited the family's household and told the mother she wanted to present the newborn in a baby pageant. Ysasaga said no, and the woman then said she had relatives nearby and wanted to exhibit to them the baby, according to Ysasaga. The woman disappeared with the baby while Ysasaga was distracted.
