The remake of "The Omen" hits theaters today -- June 6 2006

That's 6-6-6 for those of you keeping score at domicile

Little Damien arrives in theaters in succession a day fraught with peril for commonalty who actually believe there's a Satan with r horns and fiery breath, that Satan's spawn will individual day return to Earth to spread evil -- and that Satan is a big fan of numerology and would none let his boy be born forward say, April 20. (Other evil-doers already have the marketplace cornered forward that date anyway.)

in the way that "The Omen," a movie with Liev Schreiber and Julia Stiles unwittingly bringing a devilish infant into their hearthstone arrives on a date associated with the devil.

Talk about the Gregorian calendar being a marketing team's best friend. You can't manufacture publicity like that. Well, actually, you can, from peppering the landscape with 6-6-6 billboards, and taking the unusual grade of releasing your film in theaters forward a Tuesday.

I liked the silly still chilling 1976 version of "The Omen" with Gregory Peck and lee-side Remick, and I enjoyed the update. There's dark cinematography, a quality kills that seem inspired from the "Final Destination" movies as earnestly as by the original film -- and apportionments of juicy overacting, including a chuckle-inducing performance through Mia Farrow in a supporting part

As for that 6-6-06 date, I couldn't possibly be perceived less threatened by some numbers in succession a calendar OH $#@! my computer just gave me a agitation and it knocked me not at home of my chair and I'm bleeding and I'm drifting in and without of consciousness and there's a giant construction crane outside my building and it's swinging right by means of my window and BY THE GRACE OF ALL THINGS THAT ARE godly I CAN'T GET OUT OF THE WAY!!!

Just kidding. If that actually happened, there'd be a portion of white space where the stillness of the column would make progress right?

DEVIL IN A with a long face SNUGGLY

Not everyone takes "the mark of the beast" in such a manner lightly. Just as the 13th floor is sometimes skipped athwart in high-rises, the number 666 is not a favorite as a road address. Remember when the Reagans' Bel-Air address was changed from 666 St host to 668 Cloud?

In Chicago, a building at 666 N Lake Shore Drive was bestowed with fresh digits in the 1980s. For the past sum of two units decades the address has been 680 N Lake Shore Drive.

There are no Social Security numbers beginning with 666

June 6 2006 reportedly has one expectant mothers worrying. According to the Sunday Times in Britain, "the expectation of giving birth on June 6 . . has prompted talk of spawning devil children forward Armageddon day. A British self-help assemblage that usually exchanges routine tips onward parenting has turned its attention to the dangers of a date marked on the satanic symbol . ."

in succession the Web site of Mother & Baby, a British magazine, "One pregnant woman . . said she had been in such a manner worried that she had worked a doctor's appointment to make sure she would avoid giving birth onward the sixth.

"Others appeared to be taking the dangers les seriously. common woman . . . intends to call her baby Damien, after the Satanic stripling in 'The Omen.' Another . . said she would name her baby after Regan in 'The Exorcist.' "

And chance of a favorable result her child's career lasts longer than Linda Blair's.

6/6/6 AS A MARKETING TOOL

In addition to "The Omen" other explosion culture events launching today include Slayer's tour, called "Unholy Alliance," the release of a novel CD by the metal band As kin Runs Black -- and Ann Coulter's work titled Godless: The Church of Liberalism.

Coulter earns an online rave from Human marked occurrences ("The National Conservative Weekly"). I'm confident that has nothing do with the fact that Coulter's a contributor to Human occurrences and you can receive a independent copy of Godless if you subscribe to Human affairs

The review says Coulter scores a knockout according to proving child- molestation cases are more prevalent in drills than in churches.

Writes Coulter: "The worst scandal to hit the real churches in 20 years is the priest child-molestation scandal -- which pales in comparison to the teacher child-molestation problem"

Writes the reviewer: "By comparing studies done onward the number of children sexually abused through priests and those sexually abused by the agency of teachers . . . Coulter finishs there are roughly 821 children abused from priests per year and 32000 children abused by dint of educators every year . ."

Ye and there are about 43000 priests in the United States, as oppos to about 65 million teachers -- with equal reason it stands to reason there would a greater number of these cases in the indoctrinate system. Using Coulter's own numbers, the rate of horrible incidents would be 196 by 100 priests, while in gymnasiums it would be .049 through 100 teachers.

Saying there are more as it is cases in the school theory than in churches is like saying there are more commonalty in China than Rhode Island. in like manner what.

I'm stunn to read that Coulter apparently twisted about stats to support her agenda. individual can only wonder if she does it anywhere otherwise in the book, lol.
