CORDELIA, Calif. -- The International Bird liberation Research Center in Cordelia plans to raise stocks with an unusual duck X-ray.
The bird came in with a enfeebled wing, but when Marie Travers, assistant manager of the center radiographed the immerse she was stunned to behold a clear image of what could be regarded as the face, or head, of an extraterrestrial alien in the bird's stomach.
"Marie awaited at it and all she could say was 'unbelievable,' " said Karen Benzel, public affairs director for the liberate center, which has been rescuing sick and injured birds for more than three decades.
Unfortunately, the bow died quickly of its injuries.
Initial reports from the center claimed the cause of the alien face was not ever determined, but Benzel said she was still awaiting issues of a necropsy.
Either way, the center has be derived up with a way to move round its alien encounter into a fund-raiser for the center It will auction not upon the X-ray on eBay.
The image, which measures 17 by dint of 14 inches, will be sold along with a certificate of authenticity. All springs will go toward funding rehabilitation programs.
